Emtec showcases its latest testing equipment innovations for the optimization of pulp, paper, and board processing at IMPS 2024
The 32nd annual International Munich Paper Symposium (IMPS) will meet again from March 19-21, 2024 in Munich, Germany. In line with this year’s theme: "Progress in paper and board production," the German manufacturer emtec Electronic will be on site to present technical solutions to optimize resource use and increase production efficiency.
The 32nd annual IMPS will again bring together industry professionals for a three-day symposium to exchange ideas and showcase the latest technological innovations. Rising costs, environmental concerns, and raw material shortages are forcing companies to focus more on efficient use of resources, while also maintaining top product performance.
During the Symposium, Leipzig-based manufacturer of specialized testing and measuring equipment, emtec Electronic, will exhibit progressive solutions to these emerging issues in paper and board manufacturing. One device that is of particular relevance is emtec’s FPO Fiber Potential Analyzer Online. This innovative device determines the zeta potential of fibers in the wet-end automatically, precisely, and continuously, and therefore it is low-maintenance. Results are then transferred directly to the process control system or web server. If necessary, this enables a speedy intervention in the production process and remote access to the data from anywhere worldwide, allowing for increased transparency. Once installed in the process, the emtec FPO works fully automatically: sample taking, measurement, and cleaning.
Emtec Area Sales Managers Stefan Ruebesam and Eric Haagen will again be on site to greet you, present emtec’s latest innovations, and exchange ideas.
The following devices will be on display:
- TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer - to determine hand-feel along the haptic parameters softness, smoothness, and flexibility. Furthermore, the renewed TSA offers enhanced stretch and recovery data, the addition of parameters such as thermo-haptic, and an integrated camera to take sample pictures.
- ACA Ash Content Analyzer - quickly and non-destructively measures the total mineral filler content and the percentage of the individual mineral fillers in paper and board.
- FPO Fiber Potential Analyzer Online & FPA touch! Fiber Potential Analyzer - Using the established measuring principle of the small and lightweight FPA lab device, the FPO Fiber Potential Analyzer Online enables a continuous monitoring of the zeta potential.
- CAS touch! Charge Analyzing System – a small, lightweight device that fits in carry-on luggage and requires no assembly of single parts after unpacking, measures the particle charge within the pulp suspension.
