emtec Electronic at the PulPaper 2014 in Helsinki

emtec Electronic GmbH will participate in the 8th edition of "PulPaper 2014" in Helsinki, Finland – an international exhibition for suppliers to the pulp, paper, board and converting industries. From June 03rd until 05th, emtec will be present at the exhibition booth no. 6g59.

During the PulPaper exhibition, emtec will show a variety of testing instruments by which the complete production process can be controlled and guided in the right direction to get an efficient process and the best possible quality with the
lowest possible costs.

In the wet end it is extremely important to have detailed information about the charges of particles in the pulp suspension, which can be determined by the CAS Charge Analyzing System. Also important is the knowledge about the surface charge of the pulp fibers, which can be measured with the FPA Fiber Potential Analyzer. Furthermore, emtec Electronic developed a new Online measuring device FPO Fiber Zeta Potential Analyzer Online, which measures the Zeta Potential of fibers directly in the production process and immediately delivers reliable and necessary information concerning the dosing of chemicals to the pulp.

In addition to the wet-end, it is necessary to get an idea of the quality of the base paper after the production for further steps within the conversion. This can be realized by the EST12 Surface & Sizing Tester, which giACA_PulPaper_2014ves reliable and
objective information about the surface sizing respectively hydrophoby and the surface pore structure to predict the behavior of paper and board during glueing, printing and coating processes. The availability of these paper properties opens a huge amount of chances for the optimization of the paper and board production and converting processes.

Beside these well-known devices, emtec will present one of their latest developments for the determination of the total mineral filler content as well as the percentage content of the typical fillers in the paper industry within seconds, and without combustion of the samples, i.e. nondestructive. The usage of the ACA Ash Content Analyzer leads to substantial savings in material, man power, time and energy with a simultaneous increase of the measuring accuracy compared to traditional methods.
