emtec Electronic to Highlight Innovative Haptic Testing Technology at TITAS 2024 in Taipei

German manufacturer emtec Electronic, a leading innovator in specialized testing solutions, will showcase its enhanced TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer device with partner GO-IN International Co., Ltd. at the Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS) 2024, from October 15-17 in Taipei, Taiwan.

The TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer, recognized with the Techtextil North America Innovation Award 2024 in the “New Product” category, is designed to revolutionize the measurement of textile haptics. The device provides objective and precise measurements of key haptic parameters such as surface softness, surface smoothness, stretch, and recovery behavior - all within just 90 seconds. This speed and accuracy mark a significant improvement over traditional hand-panel testing methods.

In addition to its core capabilities, the TSA now includes thermal property measurements, enhanced methods for assessing springback behavior, and an integrated high-resolution camera for capturing detailed sample images. These advancements offer unprecedented precision in evaluating the haptic qualities of textiles and nonwovens.

A unique feature of the updated TSA is its seamless integration with the cloud-based Virtual Haptic Library, developed in collaboration with Black Swan Textiles. This online database categorizes and provides real-time access to digital TSA sample data from anywhere in the world. This innovation streamlines quality assurance processes, reduces the need for physical sample shipments, and enhances supply chain efficiency.

“The TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer is setting new benchmarks in the textile industry for haptic evaluation,” says Eric Haagen, Global Business Development at emtec Electronic. “At TITAS 2024, we’re eager to demonstrate how this advanced technology not only enhances precision in quality assurance and product development but also streamlines supply chain processes through its seamless integration with our cloud-based Virtual Haptic Library.”

Visitors to TITAS 2024 are cordially invited to stop by booth N3-709, hosted by GO-IN International Co., Ltd. emtec’s Eric Haagen and GO-IN partners will be on hand to discuss the enhanced TSA’s application possibilities and benefits when used in conjunction with the cloud-based library.
